  • ...sorry for everyone touched by this disaster...watching this excellent video of what happened and who responded in every way to stop the fire and help the displaced made me proud to be from this country....no finer people on earth!

  • i worked this wildfire. worked with maud, genoa ,east post oak, avinger, queen city, douglasville, tigertown, and more. THANK YOU FOR YOU SELFLESS ACTS OF COURAGE. this fire was the biggest ANYONE has ever seen in this area. 50,000 acres! 91 structures lost, and 15 days of non stop solid firefighting. good job my fellow firemen, lookin at me u mayh not think i would like firefighting. but im tough as nails cool as a fan and serious as a heart attack.

  • we better get some rain this winter or next fire season gone be just as bad

  • I live Jacksonville, NC and my mother is member of New Prospect Church and lives on W. Prospect Rd. I just want to thank everyone and all of the fire fighters that saved her house and all of the surrounding areas. You are all heroes and I want to express my undying gratitude to all. THANK YOU!!!

  • can i get a CD of this ??? i am with AVFD and this sends chills up my back every time i watch it!!!!!

  • I am a member of New Prospect and was there some of those days y'all were part of our family. Thank y'all so much for your time here, and thanks for the video.

  • Thank you to everyone that came to our rescue! There ARE true heroes, they are not just a myth. They are the ones that dropped everything, left their homes, families & jobs to come fight a fire that was blazing out of control. A fire that could turn as easy as the wind blowing, putting your own lives at risk hour after hour, day after day. My family applauds you! You are our heroes!

  • @TheFireBelle Thank you very much. How would I go about putting it on a disk to show to our department? If at all possible?

  • I am the Avinger VFD Chaplain. It was great to see the support from local communities aswell as all the fire departments who assisted. Alot of these pictures are very very close to my house. Is there any way I can get my hands on this video?
