Paramore - Misery Business (acoustic) & Crush 3x

This is me drumming to Paramore's Misery Business (acoustic version) & CrushCrushCrush. In the video, I mention that I was nervous playing these songs. That's because I only heard this group for the 1st time last week and immediately knew I had to play their music. So, I didn't have alot of time to get to know their music but what little I heard of it, I loved. I especially liked the acoustic songs (Misery Business) because there's no playing along with or over another drummer & you don't get a biased opinion as to how to play a song. You just "feel" the music & go with it. Acoustics are also great because you get to scale down the music too by just playing the basics: snare, bass, & hi-hat/cymbal.

The other song (Crush 3x) has a great beat (which uses some great tom fills) & was alot of fun to play. So, while I'm not comfy playing songs I'm not familiar with, I have to admit, this was a challenge for me and I had a blast playing Paramore's songs. I will definitely be watching them for future songs. Enjoy! :)

Update: 9/4/08: I just had to add this because I think it's funny (ironic). I checked out an interview from Paramore on today's MTV site which featured Paramore performing at this Sunday's VMA awards. In it, they admitted that they are "nervous" about performing their song "Misery Business". What is it about that song that makes everyone "nervous" about performing it? ahaha! Now I don't feel so bad having been nervous myself, performing it here. I just thought that was ironic, that even the original band is nervous about performing that song. I can't wait to hear this song in a non-acoustical nature. I still have yet to hear their drummer perform this song. I'm sure it'll be great!

Thanks for checking out my site. I change the module for almost every song but I try to keep it uniform for acoustic-like songs. I believe I had this set to the Studio 2 setting.
