Whelen WPS2800 series Siren. Located at approx 1236 S Hubbard St.
over 1 min of Alert with Voice after. when this one stops you can hear two more in the background, with one being slightly louder( being closer) than the other one.

  • What is this about, 460hz? I know how loud this is at 100 feet, 129 dBc, the 70 dBc range is 6100 feet, and the 60 dBc range is 12,200 feet, but how many hz is this?

  • i think the hissing sound is the mesh guards on the siren vibrating

  • Our sirens for the nuclear power plant sound just like that. They test them periodically right around 10:00am.
