Hi there! I'm new to the DSLR world & my mother in law bought me a D3100 for Christmas. I have been looking at getting another flash and was just looking at the SB400 (because it's budget friendly lol) Would you recommend it? It's just for taking pictures of my friends, family, daughter, etc. On a photo forum I'm on everyone said not to bother with it...so I def don't want to waste my money if it's not that great.

@Billabonglova I love the SB400. I use it all the time. I also own 3 SB800's and use them when I'm in large venues or need multiple lights. The SB400 is terrific for everyday use because it is small, lightweight, and has a tilting head to allow you to use bounce flash. I tend to like lightweight gear that is not a hassle to bring along, so I love the SB400.
