Thats common on the old corollas, and the more of a thrashing that you give em, the worse it gets. cant easily kill them though, mine has just ticked over 640,000 with no worries and it cops a floggin.

Yeah i blew one up, it was real loud! But it copped some serious floggin. Best cars for flogin round!
