Engine sat overnight so it was cold. 1st & 2nd cranks I'm just turning the key. Car cold starts but doesn't transition to cold running. In other words, it chokes and dies. 3rd crank I gave a little gas right after starting but I didn't give enough (on purpose). Same result. 4th crank I gave gas after initial ignition and tried to keep engine RPMs above 2k for a few seconds. Once it's warmed up a little bit it runs just fine.

  • You can test it by unplugging the pipe from WUR to the valve and chocking this pipe. You start and engine should keep its REV. You should be around 1100RPM. If you still got this prob, you should look at the air valve on the right side between admission pipes.

  • Hi. Maybe the valve on the left side of the engine. This valve is supposed to be closed when starting cold and be opened roughly 30s after cold start to release pressure on the WUR.

  • ISV might be sticky..

  • I have the same issue with mine. Cold starts need assistance.
