When we moved to Garden Farm we inherited a mature pine plantation on the farm, April 2010 this was harvested, not wanting to replant pine we are working towards a food forest. The land is now terraced on the contour, the soil is in need of feeding and binding - to date we have seeded the terraces with oats and clover and planted an assortment of plants along the ridge of the terraces for future slashing in preparation for the variety of food trees.
