Super Hard Mode challenge!

Truth be told, the reason I hadn't played this game in awhile is because my little sister broke my copy of Sonic Heroes when I was teaching her how to switch GCN disks. I was looking for a new copy disk-only, but in the end, I just opted to buy the entire game all over again. As a mark of that, I decided to run the Super hard Mode.

This is a specific challenge you unlocked by earning all "A" ranks in every single mission for each Team. That is to say, you will have to collect the emeralds and even beat Metal Madness with an A too (Which isn't hard).

Super Hard Mode is Team Sonic only. You go through all 14 stages without any Bosses or Team Battles. The levels have been modified to be moderately clever to quite tough You won't be seeing the real hard stages until later on. Don't be so quick to judge.

Sea Side Hill
48890 Points
047 Rings

Note that since I'm going to be using "Sonic Overdrive" a lot, I've creatively edited each use of the Team Blast after the first. Also, I paused the game at times because my Capture Card was going wacko and I couldn't see what I was doing.

Tip: When you use Sonic Overdrive, you may use another attack called the "Light Speed Attack" while there is red energy in the Blast Gauge. With Speed formation, try to use the blue tornado near an enemy (attack temporarily switches, and sonic says (Blast Away). With Fly Formation, Thundershoot Sonic. In Power Formation, Power Dunk Sonic to start the attack.

  • una pregunta como desbloqueas el modo super hard yo consegi todas las esmeraldas y consegi los 120 eblemas pero noseme desbloqueo me decis como lo desbloqueo

  • Oh god, I love Tails' voice.

  • @Saestrol nothing just saying this is easy and difficult all

  • ahh this game ... *sniff* was soooo great T_T

  • @Saestrol All right, cool. Thanks.

  • @AiIeWing That is the condition. An enemy needs to be close to use the attack, just like the other games it was featured in (Sonic Adventure 1 and 2). When the red energy is active, if you jump near a foe as Sonic, the Action Button will flash like it would if you can perform the Light Dash.

  • @Saestrol I've listened to that hint many times, but I've never managed to get it to work. Maybe it was because enemies need to be nearby in order to execute the maneuver. I would take down the last group of Egg Pawns before listening to the hint.

  • @AiIeWing The funny thing is that there's a hint ring at the end of the stage in the normal version where Team Sonic actually explains how to use this attack (after the horizontal springs before the goal ring). It surprises me how many people missed it.
