The presidential choice in 2012, between perverted versions of Inverted Totalitarianism, Inverted Fascism and Inverted Democracy is absurd. Perverted and corrupted Socialism at its worst, which is what we now have is a framework of continuity that links Obama to the worst years of Bush's economic destruction of America.

Is there change we can believe in from some type of unified effort between the Tea Party, "US Uncut" "We Are One", "Rebuild the Dream" and OWS? The majority of Americans don't want more of the same chaos from the GOP and Democrats -- but will American Citizens wake up in time to save itself?

Second, while the Nazi regime aimed at the constant political mobilization of the population, with its Nuremberg rallies, Hitler Youth, and so on, inverted totalitarianism aims for the mass of the population to be in a persistent state of political apathy. The only type of political activity expected or desired from the citizenry is voting. Low electoral turnouts are favorably received as an indication that the bulk of the population has given up hope that the government will ever help them.[8] Third, while the Nazis openly mocked democracy, Superpower maintains the conceit that it is the model of democracy for the whole world:[9] Wolin writes:
Inverted totalitarianism reverses things. It is all politics all of the time but a politics largely untempered by the political. Party squabbles are occasionally on public display, and there is a frantic and continuous politics among factions of the party, interest groups, competing corporate powers, and rival media concerns. And there is, of course, the culminating moment of national elections when the attention of the nation is required to make a choice of personalities rather than a choice between alternatives. What is absent is the political, the commitment to finding where the common good lies amidst the welter of well-financed, highly organized, single-minded interests rabidly seeking governmental favors and overwhelming the practices of representative government and public administration by a sea of cash.[10]

  • how is ron paul anything like fascism? don't just say he is, explain yourself, because i believe he would be the best choice for america! freedom is what everyone in ows wants, but the message has been taken over by the establishment & doesn't represent the core movements beliefs anymore, just like they did with the tea party, now the ows seems to represent socialism, which at its core is communism, plain & simple, i don't need a hand out, i need human, contract & property rights, simple as that

  • @iamaronpaulblican

Dr. Paul, GOP/Libertarian is focused on minimally regulated, laissez-faire market, e.g, the same unregulated economic chaos we had with Libertarian Bush/GOP. Minimal market regulation is essentially active state intervention, thus one can suggest Paul actually represents Inverted Fascism. The faceless, anonymous, nebulous unregulated corporations he supports are basically the other side of the OWS/Anonymous Coin. Ending The Fed is like ending Glass-Steagall Act of 1932!

  • socialism always leads to communism, while the socialistic intent is one of honest compansion, the desire to force others to give without the option to choose to do so vulantarily is the issue most people condemn, why? those with the ability to manipulate the masses to remove ones wealth from another to provide for the collective always seem to be directed to those of average means & reallocated to those who have the power & resources far exceeding the norm, loss of liberty & slavery soon follow

  • @iamaronpaulblican

Socialism is not the solution, but neither is the GOP love affair with Fascism or the ObamaCare agenda. Ron Paul is sort of like Fascism Lite and apparently the best choice of all the evils; nonetheless, I hope that a new OWS-like force emerges within the next few months to become a useful third party choice. If the vast majority of Americans believe Congress is corrupt, doesn't that suggest voters want totally new leaders?

  • Well as a Christian father of 7 sons, the hand the rocks the cradle rules America.....In a representative democracy, one adult, one vote.....We will see you at the ballot box....Hard work, good choices, and a clean Christian life style leads to a better life... :)

  • yet for those who want to be taken care of or think that you have to take what other people have earned (& i don't mean wallstreet & others like them) from them & redistribute it amongst the poor to create equality are not disciplined enough to benefit from the redistrubtion that would occur & before long would be financial slaves again, education & factual knowledge are going to be the keys that will unlock our freedoms, for contracts will bind you so learning how they work is essential.

  • ows/anon are more in line with ron pauls views than anyother political dem or rep canidate in office as far as i can tell, if you think of the core movement that started it, & as far as corporations are concerned i would end their charters that they have or force them to get permission from the people to stay in business, like it was before they became a person with rights as a citizen! these are things you would have to re-educate people on & would be difficult for most people to understand

  • i really don't think you understand what i mean, if human, contract & property right laws were in place as i understand them, then you would realize that a corporation/individual would be held accountable for commiting fraud, now most people don't understand how this works because we have been lied to for over 100 years, that's alot of ignorance to overcome in the interim but imagine if a corporation can not hide behind government protection? dangerous product recalls would be a priority for them
