Another video from the 40th anniversary of the Summer of Love which took place in Golden Gate Park this last September 2, 2007.

This features a performance of "Time Has Come Today," by the Chambers Brothers, or at least the lead vocalist for that group.
I believe this to be the best performance from a long list of excellent and engaging performances by such vintage groups as New Riders of the Purple Sage, Canned Heat, Jefferson Starship, and Country Joe, of which I posted a video earlier.
Though the audio is a little distorted due to being so close to the stage during the taping, this is still well worth the listen.

People rocked out to this tune. Bright colors, boogies and smiles abounded, those who were living the good old days and those who felt the music in the good old present days. A bridge to the past was forged, transiting the notions of love, peace and compassion back and forth.
I experienced, and heard of, no hassling or trouble during the entire 8 hours of this concert. People were respectful of one another, their space, their time and their person. Estimates for the size of the crowd ranged from 50,000 to 100, 000. There was easily 50,000 and I'd say quite a few thousand more.

It was a joy and a privilege to take part in this Festival, and I hope this comes through in the video.
