@Angus1966 Mental illness is more typical in big rich individualist societies(driven by money) where some people are left behind and feel "out" both socially and economically. It cannot be the case of these islands where competition, individualism and money are not the points of interest....I have been to the cook islands twice( another country of the south pacific )and i fell in love with it. check Aitutaki island....amazing. and i'm attracted by kiribati and by their culture and lifestyle.

@Angus1966 because everyone has a simple lifestyle, the entire police force is just made out of vigilante civilians. However unfortunately since the islands have few resources 90% of the population of Kiribati is unemployed.

Global warming is a hoax. The fuel leaked from Pan AM's fuel tanks, the war pollution left behind from the US and Japan, the petro fuel leaked by the islanders, the oxides from the metal and the fact that the Sun is going through a normal heating cooling cycle are what matters.
