Several lines of dialog in the episode preview were deleted from the final cut of "The Galileo Seven". This scene seemed most the most likely place where these lost lines went.

Here is a transcript of the additional dialog:
Commissioner: "Do you know what you have done? You've concerned yourself with only seven people. You said something about a needle in a haystack. It's useless."
Kirk: "If they're not there Commissioner, then they're dead by now."

Enjoy!

  • Those lines, could they have come from the episode teaser?

  • @powergirl901 Yes, as mentioned in the description, they came from the preview. Due to the difficulties involved in filming ST:TOS (especially in the 1st season), editing may have continued up to the day an episode aired on tv. Sometimes footage edited into the preview a week earlier was edited from the episode, yet survives in the preview. This is one such case. I just reedited it back into the episode where it most likely would have occured.

  • This is a lie. He used footage from other parts of the episode to make the second part of this video.

  • Listen, BondFreek, were do you get off calling me a lair? You, on the other hand, have proven yourself to be an ass by your own words. As I said in the description, I found the extra lines in the episode preview, thought it would be fun to fit them back into the episode, and then to share that edit with others. Why then did you feel it necessary to jump on this opportunity to show the world what an ass you could make of yourself?

  • The Murasaki Effect. Sounds like a good name for a rock group.

  • great job

  • i have always wanted to lick Uhura's slutty leather boots, and i know I am not the only one.

  • @ludvan64 Do you take everything so literally? If so, you need to lighten up Francis.

  • @kimberleyoga What a load of rubbish. Star trek TOS & it's of shots were good TV, but making the world a better place! Come of it. I'm sure several million people have died in wars, since this episode was first screened. Gene Roddenberry had a nice idea what the world may look like in the future, but we are a long, long, long way of from his dream.

  • Type ieM

  • @Potrimpo. those lines were used in the episode. Watch again. They are not in the order shone here. I'm not lying nor was I calling him a liar. I said that the video was a lie. Just because you say some thing that you think is true does not mean it is not. Children say that the Easter bunny is real, are they lying? They go on to accept the truth why can’t you people.

  • @BondFreek And I just checked the episode, to see where the "additions" that you claim that albion432 got, and it wasn't present in that episode. And this is the original episode, not the remastered.

    You were wrong.

  • @BondFreek I too have that episode as well on DVD, in fact I have the entire series. It's available on Youtube as well, and I watched this episode, along with Shore Leave, Arena and this all the time.

But still, how can you be positive that the version presented by albion432 was never meant to be? Or that it was never an original concept? Hm?

One concept of Nemesis is where Picard ordered auto destruct while still attached to the Scimitar. And changed later.

  • @albion432 And the same thing happens with movies as well.

"In Darkness there's strength." Never in the theatrical presentation

"The wait is over." Also never used in the theatrical presentation

  • @BondFreek And how often do you keep lying? Especially when you call something a lie, you lie. Did it ever occur to you what if they had used that footage on the original airing? No of course not. It requires a brain to understand that.

Since those lines were shot, though unused, they still exist. Only confirming that YOU are the liar.
