Very nice work. The end was magnificent. The middle theme was done very well also. Just my humble opinion, slow down the first part a hair and a bit more legato. See the video of Elgar conducting it on Youtube! Have you played any of his organ pieces other than this? Quite a fellow.

Bravo! Excellent performance. I was pleasantly surprised how good this piece sounds in an organ transcription.
Thanks for posting.

Too slow, much too slow. Sounds like a funeral music.

Each to their own I suppose!!!?
I love elgar's Pomp and Circumstance, but this is the first time I've heard it organ only. Not bad, but not my cup o' tea really!

Why is it "exquisite"? Have you any idea what the hell you're talking about?

Quite the best arrangement of this wonderful piece of Elgar. Mr Watanabe plays it well, but rather a bit slowly. \this supposed to be a marge, not a funeral procession. Must agree there were a few mistakes in the playing, and the accoustics are very poor. All in all quite enjoyable, but that arrangement is exquisite.

I surely don't know what Geiler was on about. I suppose we will be seeing his flawless mesmorized performance up here on the Tube sometime soon? I can't find any fault with the sound of this organ coming through my crrappy little speakers. It sounds lively and sparkling. Garland seems to know something about voicing in a dry room. And, Mr. Wantanabe seems to know how to play Elgar!

Now don't be too quick to criticize. but i do agree with the sound of the organ. Its sounds rather dry and dull.

Is Kiyo the resident organist at FUMC, Wichita? I make it through the area now and then and would like to see it in person.

Please visit my church any time. However, I am in Wichita Falls, Texas, not to be confused with Wichita, Kansas.

Nice job. Have you heard the Virgil Fox recording done on the Wannamaker? What a sound with all those strings stops.

Yes, the Wannamaker organ is great, and Virgil Fox is the best!
