  • What happened to the "You make one more sound, I'll come down there and put your fricken' head in the soupe!" Line? I wonder.

  • This was an alternate cut of the scene, so I guess it wasn't included in this version. Which is a pitty, because that's one of the funniest lines in the movie.

  • I noticed the change from Jim Carrey to Paul Giamatti as Tony before seeing this but I'm sure that alot of others will discover it for the first time HERE. It's ALSO interesting I think that Carrey does the voice of Tony throughout even when he's physically played by Giamatti.

I LOVE how throwing a drink in someone's face is like Tony's BIG move.

    I've seen it before.

It's like HIS version of the old-time custom of slapping one across the face with your gloves to challenge them to a duel.

  • I think they wanted Tony to sound the same through out the scene, and they could have done a lot of split screen effects to have Carrey play both parts, but having Giamatti fill in for Clifton is just the easiest way to do it. Only a few people notice and it's usually after watching the movie several times.

The drink in the face is classic. It's better than a slap I think, because you stay wet after it's done. Such insult.

  • @externalbleeding1 uh... Carrey.

  • They deffinatly did a good job making it hard to tell a difference, and Carrey played him so well. I think the editing in the Vegas scene was done very well that you don't notice a change between the two unless you're looking closely.

It was also done very well at the end to where you don't know who it is playing Tony. You'd assume it was Bob. Then you catch a glimps of him in the crowd during the last shot. I thought it was brilliant.

  • Well deffinatly Carrey, but I would have liked to see Giamatti being Tony a little longer. I think he would have deffinatly been a mean Tony.

  • Tony Clifton is the best.

Jim Carrey pulled the part off fatastically.
