  • Ok this is fucking stupid. Nobody ever says eat a gram of meat...its intake a gram of protein. Everyone knows that a gram of meat is not a gram of protein!

  • This has to be one of the dumbest arguments I've heard in a long time. You cannot equate 1 gram of chicken, to one gram of protein. Uber retarded argument.

  • What about using whey protein to though. That way you don't have to eat as much to get the protein.

  • Not one of your better videos Paul.

The answer is 1 gram per lbs of bodyweight is a great place to start unless you're over 15% bf, then you should lower it.

  • @dremmlin45 paul looks 25??? haha

  • He promotes eating organic food so he's probably talking about the amount of chicken(or meat) to get a gram of protein from, and by eating that amount of meat, you're not just getting a gram of protein but a certain amount of fat as well. Also depends how healthy the source is.

It's definitely easier to sell "take a gram of protein per body weight" than to sell "check your recovery time if you're eating enough protein". Two people with the same weight doesn't mean they have the same body.

  • Saying Paul Chek doesn't know his way about sports nutrition is like saying Lance Armstrong doesn't know anything about bikes. C'mon people - the man is the real deal.

  • He's not saying that 1 gram of chicken equates to 1 gm of protein. The analogy he was trying to draw up was that no individual is the same and by following the rule of 1 gm protein per 1lb body weight is just as ridiculous as saying that there is 1 gm of protein in 1 gm of meat. Your liver will covert food into useable protein. This is why vegetarians can survive. All these muscle heads here will look like Arnold when they are 50, fat and droopy skin. Paul is 50 and looks 25-30. Hmmm......

  • thank god i saw this video ! i was eating 200 g of chicken/day, including feathers. i didn't bother to look at the nutrition label to find the exact protein content. i just thought a 2lb chicken was 2lbs of protein ! thank you Paul Check !

  • @culicomorpha I know.
