Yep, when I visited farmyards as a child I was quite used to them, but they are very territorial and once they decide you are a threat (for whatever reason is anyones guess) you better have a big stick to ward them off, territory wanders with the gaggle. If they split and you are twenty feet away from the nearest they leave you alone, but dont go back if they've already attacked. A peck (BITE) from a goose hurts, three is torture for a child. That was a nice pig, you know someone grooms it.

a friend of mine had a goose named Clyde. he was a mean bird. the cows eventually held him in the water trough to finish him
