A Video Of "The Pull" by Chicago in 1993, a song unreleased from the unreleased "Stone Of Sisyphus" Album in 1993. With Special dedication to my friend Eduardo Ríos García "Archie" (RIP, 2000).

Can't get enough of Chicago. First concert I saw in '69. Sat right over Lamm in box seat. Cost me a whopping $13.00 for me and my gal to see the best concert in my life.

Thank you SO MUCH for posting this!! I never got to see them perform anything from Stone of Sisyphus live back then, and this is wonderful! This also proves how unbelievably moronic and clueless record company execs can be, for their refusal to release this album at the time. In my opinion, Sisyphus is the best album they had since the very early 80's, possibly since Terry Kath left us. Simply one of the best and most enduring bands of ALL TIME, and easily my favorite band ever.

I am amazed that they keep coming up with great music, yet the mainstream ignores talent for crap that you hear today...

The band sounds good. However, Jason looks silly in that shirt. Just not convincing in biker garb. Doesn't fit his personality.

Yes this was 1993. This came from a video of them performing at the Greek Theatre in LA. The Big Band album came out in 1995 and by then Dwayne Bailey, the lead guitarist, had left the band. The current guitarist, Keith Howland, joined the band shortly after Big Band was released.

The Live version is better than the Studio Version.

The Record made a Mistake by Not releasing the song as a Single.

    This is a Great Song

I never understood this song's meaning until I had kids. Now I understand "the pull." As Lamm says in the liner notes, no matter how hard you try, you can't be in two places at once. You want to be with the ones you love, but if you have to spend time away from them to support them, that can be very difficult. No matter where you are, you feel something else pulling at you. I imagine this was a constant issue in the lives of touring musicians.

In my humble opinion Dawayne Bailey had better chops that Scheff. Huge mistake to let him go.

Dawayne Bailey actually wrote the title track and sings the hook for the Stone Of Sisyphus project and was in on the SOS sessions. In fact, producer Peter Wolf asked the band why they didn't use him more often. I was fortunate enough to have several conversations with Mr. Bailey and got a copy of the original sessions.

Cetera06, are you sure that this was 1993? I know the lead guitarist was still around in '02 and even then they weren't performing "Stone of...". In '93 they were working on the Big Bands (21?) LP. That was superb and monumental!
