We modified standing freezers to heat and cool our 22gal conical fermentors (brewhemoth) the freezers are controlled by a BrewTroller 4.0 pro running fermtroller software. One box can control at least 6 fermentors heating and cooling. This is our first time testing it.
Some serious kit!

Will you please make a video showing your method of sanitizing this conical? Do you use a CIP system, such as a spray ball?

Man, what a sweet system. Nice Job

We account for beer loss by simply brewing about 11ish gallons. You will always have loss in any system.
We use O2 with a stone to aerate the wort after its in the fermentor. We plan on putting it inline with the beer transfer to make sure all wort is aerated properly.
Worst case scenario, if the pump failed etc we could simply pump into a bucket then transfer.

@khertler Your head would be greater going into the top, but the pump can handle it. Head pressure isn't the volume of fluid above the pump, but the height to the top of the fluid. You can change the width all you want, but that doesn't change the head pressure.

If you transfer into the top of your primary, you can aerate and mix your yeast, since it doesn't seem you're dosing.

What's the line-loss like? quart or so?

I come from a background of having never used a conical, or pumps, for-that-matter, but... wouldn't you want to pump the fluid into the top of the conical so that the pump isn't fighting against hydrostatic pressure?

congrats on a great run of your new conical fermentors.
