Do I need a gba flashable cart to do this? I was hoping I could just directly wifi the firmware over.

it means you used a different version of flashme.
they made different kinds.

oh, and when i flashed the ds s, i never had the thing where it fades at the nintendo ds screen why?

i've flashed 2 nintendo ds s using wifime with my linksys wmp54g v4 and installed the custom drivers on my pc and it all worked out
