  • Yeah thats INCREDIBLE, I grew up on this show back in NYC. We used to come home and turn to Channel 31. All through Highschool and elementary. Thanks Uncle Ralph and Vid Kid for inspiring me.

  • Congrats VMB. I witnessed the beginning till I moved to Cali. Still love my New York.

  • what time did the show come on. Im getting different answers from everybody. I know Im going to get the right answers on here.

  • _____At 2:16.. "Commander Shepard. I'm sending this message back in time to inform you of certain critical events." Heh, since when did the Illusive Man get time-travel capabilities? Since now, I suppose. But since we're talking about time travel, his now is our future. Or his past is our now. Something like that. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. Don't pretend that you don't.

  • for a white guy i love when this show came on channel 31 in new york i always had to move the antena to get a clear picture but to be honest this show was good from 1980 to like 86 it fell apart after that with yo mtv crap and once in a while bet is good but this shows best years was from when it started to 1986 there was a few song after but those where the best years with fat boys man parish hans and davis and freeze and fearlees four very good songs still good to listen to till this day

  • i was a latchkey kid and would come home anticipating the show. uncle ralphie really took role of uncle for some of us kids..he always had a great attitude, enthusiasm and just an approachable persona. this show was truly influential for me in my youth.

  • I just turned 40 yrs old,and I am from Strong Island.I remember coming home everyday and watching VMB,and I used to love the opening, and all the vids they played.I have been gone from NY since 91',and i tell you,if you didnt grow up in NY in the 80's ,you missed it kid!! I am in NC now,and i still have vhs tapes with VMB footage on it,and tapes with Mr Magic,Red,Chuck and all kinds of NY radio on it.People would pay big money to get there hands on the stuff I have.Man i miss home!!!!

  • Remember The Rapping Duke? Tit willow tit willow......

  • do yall remember crazy sam

  • I'll tell you cats something...I remember coming home back around 91-92, from Junior High/Middle School, just to watch this show.

I saw Ralph McDaniels at my job not to long ago. A super, super GUY!

This show was so before it's time, a million steps above YoMTV raps, which only aired on Saturdays right before or after Head Bangers Ball, and that was after midnight, more around 1am. MTV played no WRAP videos, back in those daze(days) ~~!!~~

  • When this aired in NYC on Ch. 31 UHF.....that was OUR cable TV back then!! Way too many rappers got their 1st exposure to VMB. Ralph McDaniels need to be inducted in VH1's Hip Hop Honors this year.
