  • Light line is used to catch many different species around the UK. Lighter line can provide brilliant presentation oh hook baits, and flies (fly fishing) for spooky or well fished for species. A lot of larger specimen fish such as Tench or Bream are caught using 5lb or below mainline. Its a trial and error way of fishing, keeping the right amount of pressure or not striking too hard. Give it a try, im sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

  • I use float a lot at local lake dis is good video but u can just normal shot

  • I have just ordered some Berkley fire line it is 20lb but the same dyameter as 6lb mono but im more of a sea fisherman, Has any one got an opinion on tis product

  • @orange7879 So you just proved my point that you don't need strong like to catch a good fish? thanks.

  • @orange7879 First of all, learn the use of proper English! Secondly I almost landed a double figure Pike on 4lb line, with a size 20 hook and no trace...It took my roach as I was landing and didn't want to let go, i fought it for a good 15 minutes until it spooked when we tried to net it and it bit through my line, which has nothing to do with what strength it was before you go off on one.

if you know how to fish properly 4lb line is just fine...

  • i say old chap thats a bit strong did school get out early today wot wot wot ! (is matt your boyfriend )

  • @DoPe993 Good man! but that's half the challenge if you ask me! wrestling with a fish trying your hardest not to lose it! :D

  • @Sast06

so do i believe it or not i dont care iv landed a 16 ,3oz common on a cheap argos rod and 4lb line. took me ages to get it in though
