The 2008 Red Poppy Festival will burst into bloom on Saturday and Sunday, April 26th and April 27th 2008 in historic downtown Georgetown. A Georgetown and Central Texas tradition, the Red Poppy Festival is a time to enjoy family and friends, music, food and fun! In addition, the Red Poppy Festival proceeds support facade and sign grants for Georgetown's historic buildings. As one of Texas's first Main Street cities, Georgetown began revitalizing its historic square in 1982. The Georgetown Main Street Program is committed to ensuring a vital downtown.
