@fumpsee Sport Sambo is like Judo/Jiu-Jitsu with throws & submissions (arm locks & massive leg locks but no chokes). Combat Sambo is like modern MMA but with a Gi. In Combat Sambo you're allowed to: Kick, Punch, Elbow, Head Butt, Knee, Takedowns (Greco-Roman, Judo & Freestyle) & submissions (Spinal, Leg Locks, Chokes, Arm Lock & Groin/Hip Submissions). Combat Sambo is older than modern MMA. It was created in 1930's for Soviet Special Forces/Army. Combat Sambo is getting wide-spread recognition.

IMO, the best thing for Fedor to do is ditch M-1 and go to a legit camp in the USA and move to the UFC. He would beat Werdum, Bigfoot and Hendo in a rematch.
