I love Sega commercials from the 90's...and I don't understand how this went from discussing the 32x to bashing the Wii?? haha...damn fanboys and their stupid "My system's better than yours" war.

Unfortunately in any discussion regarding a console system of any kind almost always warps into a console war. Ever since this recent console generation this new "console war" has gotten real ugly. I shudder to think how ugly it will get with the next console generation. Hell, I won't be surprised if it spills into TV ads as well like with the Sega TV ads in the 90s.

I don't think we'll see this kind of ads any time soon and that's cause the gamers nowdays are doing all the fighting and slitting each other's throats, Sega had an aggressive and smart way to advertise at first which worked really well, but once they grabbed 55% of the market Sega turn arrogant and plain stupid, and regarding the next generation?? let's see...since the Sega days Playstation made videogames popular among adults, the Wii to old people and soccer moms, so who's the next target?

And speaking of Fanboyism, I've noticed that it's absolute worse with PC Gamers. I myself prefer the PC, but I got sick of many hardcore PC Gamers online bash consoles and console players, especially with sticking labels on them such as "Consoletards". And they blame console gamers for developers turning away from PC Development. Well, lately they've also blamed people who still use Windows XP .

Do you honestly think that you're displaying any kind of real intelligence when you resort to spamming and trolling to defend the console of your choice? I'm a PC Gamer and the PC is my choice, but I don't go around spamming and trolling that the PC is the best system and everyone else who owns a console sucks.

You see ????? You can ALWAYS add a Sega CD and 32X if you want to. You have options! With Super Nintendo.... NO OPTIONS!! Just Super Nintendo and that's it.

@leydeplomo The 32X was announced around the same time as the saturn. It was marketed as an alternative to those who wanted next gen graphics but couldn't afford a new system. It confused gamers more than it just being smart gamers who waited for the saturn.

You could not see many titles from Sega after 96, it was just third party companies still trying to squeeze money out of the system specially EA even the Genesis 3 was manufactured by a third party and not Sega, and about the 32X...it was just an unnecessary add-on that not only was expensive, but with people hearing rumors about the Saturn in the horizon gamers were smart and just waited for a full 32-bit new cd based system, but we were not talking about the 32X that's a whole different story.

@leydeplomo where did you get the idea sega abandoned the genesis then? They abandoned the 32X long before they dropped support for genesis in favor of the saturn.

@leydeplomo nintendo also abandoned the snes in 96. thats when they released the n64. sega still released titles for the genesis like nintendo did for the snes even into the lifespan of their new consoles.
