TIG Welding a fire pit, working with an old tractor rim and some 1" bar stock leftover from a railing that I scrapped. I think this is going to turn out well.

  • theres an easier way just through it on the ground and put wood in it lol

  • @narib28 oh and at the end of tig welding old the torch there for a few seconds because with out the gas still flowing out the crater can ge contaminated

  • when cutting try like cut then let off then cut and so in because if you just hold it the metal obviously heats up and when metal heats up it get stronger so it will start to get really hard to cut just saying haha

    .

  • lay and hold on its back till it stops

  • like the vids. very informative. but you should never lay an angle grinder on its face it could walk or run of the table or work. lay and hold it till it stops!

  • there might be a tiny bit of the dust in the air but i really wont do anything and plus most of it is heavy and just falls to the ground but i guess better safe than sorry. :)

  • Good video . I am just East of you in PA Really Crappy weather here . I have a question I have not welded for many years and got my hands on an old Lincoln AC/DC 225/125 Arc welder . I was told I could put a Tig torch on it but would it be worth it for a home garage . I am looking to keep the price as low as I can and I am limited in space . I did not pay anything for the the stick welder so it would not bother me to put something into it to make it better . Would you advise me to get one ?

  • Can't wait for part 2! Nice work.

  • I didn't want all that fine dust in my lungs either, so instead of buying a crappy abrasive chop saw I sucked it up and bought a 7x10.5" mitering bandsaw, although it was almost as much as your plasma cutter.

  • @ChuckE..... Fantastic video as usual!!! Great idea, you've inspired me yet AGAIN for my own backyard pit! But..... You're killing me bro! I use a handtruck to move my chop saw outside of my shop. That same soot you showed in the video not only gets in our lungs, but those expensive welders' intake fans suck all that crap in too. Why don't u move the saw outdoors to protect your machines?

  • Surprised you TIGed this... Thought for sure it was a stick project... I like to see you use the different processes though... Can't wait for the rest!
