Frank Zappa Day, statue ceremony & concert

As part of the newly designated 'Frank Zappa Day' in the city of his birth, Baltimore's Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake invited Gail Zappa to unveil a statue topped by a bust of FZ. The bust was donated by Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, where Zappa was a beacon of freedom of expression during the Soviet occupation.

Following the unveiling, Dweezil Zappa and his band 'Zappa Plays Zappa' played the following ditties:

What a great day that was! Good friends, good weather, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake dedicating the day to FZ, and hearing the phrase "Ram it up your poop-chute" chanted at the corner of Conkling and Eastern on an early Sunday afternoon. Good times indeed!

Oh! The irony! Frank would have a field day with this. I'm all for the statue and the street and the day of remembrance; it's cool. But can you imagine the satirical songs Frank would compose about this?
