A little fanfiction I made if the writing is too fast I have put it down here too :)

1) We all know the fate of Anne Boleyn...but what if Henry tried to stop it?

2) King Henry had his wife Queen Anne in the tower because he has fallen in love with Jane Seymour. But he realises he still loves Anne but could he have her back after all of this?

3) Meanwhile at the tower Anne thinks about her comming fate, Henry with Jane Seymour and her Elizabeth

5) Anne is told that she will be beheaded and not burned. She is also told that the king hired a French swordsman to to it in strike so that she will feel nothing.

6) On the day of Anne's execution Henry demands that they delay it until the next day....the Seymours begin to get nervous....

7) Henry knew he nedded to stop the execution, he needed Anne....

8) He made his servants get his horses ready to leave and to tell no one of their destination...

9) Henry gets to the tower as Anne begins her final walk...

10) Henry tries to find the way to Anne's scaffold as he can see it from the window and he bigins to realise he may be too late...

11) Henry stoped running to look out of the window he managed to get to and he was too late, Anne looked up from her scaffold she and Henry lock eyes as the sword swings for Anne's neck...

  • @philly625 Yellow was the colour of mourning in Spain, as Katherine was Spanish,

  • @Aragornsfavorite I don't know if it's true or not, but I do remember reading something that basically stated that Henry also feared Mary; so, while he was torn with fatherly love for her, as well as political fear of her (she was his greatest enemy.) As for Anne and other women being strong and 'ahead of their time', I will agree with that. It's sad that women weren't honored for their sacrifices, 'cause they were the ones who seemed to really sacrifice the most...

  • @NebetSeta Indeed. Anne was an instrument used by her family; however, she was an ambitious woman and a maverick. For that she'll always be revered. How she treated Princess Mary was unimaginable and she had to atone for that. I often think about the what ifs. I do know from history that Henry feared Katherine's power and allies. I wish she had used her influence to have Spain effect war on England. I totally agree with you re: Katherine's blood ties. Henry was lacking.

  • @Aragornsfavorite Hmmmmmm.... I still question it, though I don't know much of anything about that time in history and what could or couldn't be done (so much as a being a woman or a girl and what power she would have had, royalty or not.) Still, Henry was deplorable, as well was Anne. They knew they were wrong, in the end. I wonder what would have happened if Spain attacked England for Katherine and Mary's sake? Indeed Katherine had more blood ties to the throne of England then Henry did.

  • @NebetSeta If you use today's standards there is no excuse. However, in that era a woman was a chattel to be used as her husband/father saw fit. Part of the abuse both these women endured were through their own doing. That is not an excuse it is simply stating facts. Had Katherine ceased to stop viewing Henry through her veiled rose-colored glasses she may have chosen to deal with him differently. Had she done that, perhaps her daughter would have followed suit. The world will never know.

  • @Aragornsfavorite While I understand what you are saying as well as know there is truth in your words, how he went about his pursuits were just plain wrong. He was abusive to Mary and abusive to Katherine, and there is no excuse that is good enough to pardon those crimes.

  • @NebetSeta Henry was in a quagmire. The Tudor dynasty was no more than a few decades old. With the death of each son by Katherine and her nearing the age where she would no longer be able to bear children, Henry was faced with a decision. He had to ensure (at least attempt) the longevity of his dynasty. He needed a son. A queen's main function was that of a brood mare. Katherine could not give him what he needed to sustain the dynasty ergo Katherine prove to be expendable.

  • This series is not accurate. Like when his 1st wife dies, Henry didn't cry. He couldn't wait to get rid of her. It is documented that both he and Anne wore yellow the day of her death, which was quite a spit in the face

  • Henry the VIII developed diabetes, gout, and maybe even cancer. He died not just of old age, but of extreme obesity, and being very unhealthy. He knew that all he wanted all of his life, was a male heir, and he eventually got it. Jane Seymour had the good luck to bear him a son, and then the good sense before he tire of her, like with everyone else.
