@THRAPYST Wise words. I try to drive my bass musician life in that direction...

As much as I admire Palladino you should remember cats like Victor and Marcus have been laying down the groove as sidemen for a long tme also. But if you are a leader of the band, and the bass is the lead instrument you cant just stay in the pocket. Look up Marcus's body of work which includes Miles Davis, Grover Washington, Luther Vandross to name a few...

@THRAPYST well said , boy's and girl's look up how many hit song's victor or marcus played on , and then look up pino's , lol he's the man

@THRAPYST tha t s what is called 'world class"

Cool liedjee :d
This cat is the Shiznic! Bass players need to learn from this cat, its not about a lot of notes. Become one with the GROOVE!!!!!!!!!! Everybody wants to be Marcus and Vic, go ahead and get fired from your gig tryna be those guys, or hold the groove like Pino and get all the gigs. To the Bass World!

@NickTann producers or A&R guys want to be sure and that's why they pay that much: even if you know nothing about music production or theory, you just look at that guy's résumé and that's it: you are sure and you pay what it costs ;)
