Hey everybody! I just started a new Myspace music page. The project goes by the name "Mr. Dithers." Please check it out when you get a chance. thanks!

I wrote a 4-bar drum pattern using a Roland SH-32 then hooked the mono output into the external input of my Minimoog. The key is to overdrive the hell out of the input. A delightful little light shines brightly to indicate this is happening. I also turned on oscillators 3&2 and played along with the pattern a bit. The original Moog filter is very fat...and overdriving the input is great for mangling the most innocent sounds. (more)

  • Is there another name for 'amount of contour'? I like that sound and I cant find anything to do with it in Reason 4.

  • Yes...it is basically "Envelope Amount" or Env Amount. It controls the amount of Attack, Sustain, Decay, Release applied to the filter cutoff or amplitube. I hope that helps.

  • hey Analogger i just want to say to ignore those guys that give negative feedback on your music. Your music sounds really awesome and your really hilarious. So keep making videos!

  • Hey dude, thanks for the nice words. I hope that some of my nonsense will inspire others to possibly try new things. Luckily I kept this vid around 2 min - I admit it's pretty hideous sounding - you should have heard it in my studio - deafening! The only thing that sounds more hideous is some hapless middle aged fuck who thinks he can play "da blooze." Jesus, I'm getting faint just thinking of it.

  • hey analogger-

is your drum machine going into the Trigger In input or the frequency input to produce this sound?

    thx!

  • Yo, homie! I am running the mono out from the drum machine into the Moog's external audio input. There is no sound until I hit a key to open up the VCF and VCA.
