Yes..it was...I sat there looking out to the patio, and I was saying to myself...Oh WOW...I can not believe I am sitting where a King sat...unreal...now...it has a barrier around it...

You were lucky. It would be wonderful to sit where a King once sat in antiquity. I would love to visit Knossos, Babylon, Mycenaea, Troy....

My father was stationed there in the US Air Force in the sixties. I loved Crete, I was so taken by it's history and myths. I was 7 when we arrived and was 11 when we left. If you ever get a chance to go...you should. It's beautiful!
