As usual in DC the government is totally inept at removing snow from residential neighborhoods.

  • Had to work today, was fun trying to drive in on half cleared lanes or so.

  • And those half cleared lanes had to be shared with the pedestrians because the people dont clear their sidewalks. I am away. Have things melted off where you are? I cant remember where you live....if you've said.

  • It is almost all gone, still some patches. The rain took care of a lot. The only problem now is the fuck-up job they are doing on 17th Street still.

  • Good. I was hoping I would be able to find a parking space whan I get home. More likey now that snow is gone.

As far as 17th street it is so disrupotive to the businesses. Do you know why they are digging it up?

  • No, not really. Maybe something with the water pipes, because I saw a bunch of PVC pipes out and the water pressure was low yesterday. I think they get bored sometimes so they have to dig something up.

  • They did this in another neighborhood. I cant remember which one. The city government said they were considering having shuttle buses from the Metro to our hood during the construction. To help make up for lost traffic. Im holding my breath for that. lol

  • Perspective is important. Having to keep a chainsaw in the car is a bit much dor us city folk. lol. Id love to live further out but want the conveniences of city living. Not likely is it...I think not! lol

  • Hey, at least you have a chance of having a snow plow. In this town, they are lucky to do main street and the highway. I lived way out in the country a few years back and everyone that lived out there had to plow it. I also kept a chainsaw in my car to cut the trees that always fell in the road. Anyway, I live just outside of town now and they don't touch my road. Kinda funny because I can see the building where the salt trucks load up their salt.
