My son recently began learning to canter. He is doing very well on our precious mustang, Black Lightning.

  • that horse is gorgeous except the rider is to big on him/her!

  • @horseloverz22000

    Yes, my son is tall for this horse and even taller now. We have a taller horse, but everyone likes riding this one best. We'll never sell this fabulous horse. We no longer show, but just do backyard riding, so it doesn't really matter.

  • That's amazing! He has an amazing seat! The horse is gorgeous!

  • @JonasandHorses

    Thanks! I think his seat is decent for his first canter. He's cantered a lot since then and could still improve. I must say, though, that this precious, wonderful mustang of ours does have smooth gaits, so my son may not have done as well starting on another horse.

  • Whats a 2 point mean???

  • @rokgirl86 Two Point is the jumping position, when the rider shifts his weight entirely out of the saddle and balances on the stirrups, with his knees as the other point to stabilize the position

  • A little bouncy but hey who is not bouncy for not doing it long? I think thats awesome for not cantering for very long, a very well done :D

  • wow he did WAY better on his fist canter than I did on mine...I've learned a lot more since my first and can now gallop!

  • @horseprofessor He is really good for the first time! I never cantered on an english saddle before!

  • it is a fast canter for the first time

    So... Good job! c;

  • @rokgirl86 Two point is a jumping position. It is where and Jumper stands in his stirrups. Not too high or not too low they lean slighty forward.
