Quest for FIRE!

ACS doesn't have much sound, and what's there isn't anything to write home about. I'm thinking about playing some music in the background, a la Proton Jon. What do you folks think?

  • Just curious, (and yes I am going through and watching your whole library) why do you do these? Is it just for fun, or are you trying to get partnership and do this for a living? I'm just wondering, because I really enjoy your videos. I started watching when I stumbled on your Hokuto no Ken IPAT because I'm a big fan of the series, and I subscribed around the time you were doing Mystic Defender.

  • @IVIegadude Just for fun. I doubt even the biggest fish in the LP pond could make more than beer money at it, and I am far from the biggest fish!

  • what emulator did you use?

  • 'Twas WinUAE.

  • EPIC READING VOICE.

  • Why, thank you!

  • Put in some music to this otherwise silent game. Heck, maybe you can do a request music type of thing?

  • @UnPlayedAThing Hey man, AVGN has fundraised 160,000 dollars in just a couple weeks for a movie, and the yogscast have been globetrotting for months doing cons. I know they aren't strictly LPers, but that's how they started. You have a lot of good qualities man. You're mature, not dirty, knowledgeable about your games, reasonably skilled, and funny. I think that given a couple years and the right approach you could make some money. Not 100s of gs, but a little jingle in your pocket at least.

  • "How can i swim? I'm a FIRE!"

  • I always felt that the sound was part of the game's charm. Loved those horns in the Amiga port.

  • Heh, weirdly enough I got super nostalgic at two places: 1) the title screen and 2) seeing all the tiles go by as you were choosing your character! Some of those tiles (the different colored snakes, the goblin, the old hag, even that tiling stone wall texture!) really got some of those old neurons firing again. Pretty awesome. Thanks so much for the video.

  • thank you

  • Wow. Thanks for bringing back some great memories. I was SO sure that I was the only one who'd remember this game!

    I miss the epic music!
