Alex Todd is a 10th generation lobster fisherman from one of Chebeague Island's oldest fishing families . He is the Captain of the Jacob and Joshua, a 42 ft. fiberglass boat he built and named for his two sons. The Jacob and Joshua is a solid boat with a wide beam (17ft) that is often tested . When around the water one will often hear the description that Alex's boat is "Todd tested tough". Alex goes lobster fishing year round and also fishes for shrimp and scallops during slow times in the lobster fishing season. He is known for his ability to take on bad weather with an easy smile and relaxed attitude. When not lobster fishing Alex enjoys lifting weights, playing guitar, and supporting his boys in their many activities.
Casco Bay, home of the Calendar Islands, is an estuary, a fertile crescent of ocean where rivers and tides converge and lobsters are attracted to its salty waters.

I assume he misspoke. His family may have been around Maine that long.
