you see, at the time there were many os out there, WAY BETTER THAN WINDOWS.
but it was the one that got shipped with your new pc, then EVERYBODY thought that there was no other os, that it was Windows and that was it.
what a huge stupidity!

I have a vague recollection of actually seeing this commercial when it came out. But I didn't know who Bill Plympton was at the time because I was probably, like, 10. It's always weird to see something you remember as a kid and realize that it's made by someone you've now become a huge fan of.

Everyone have to earn a living somehow. Getting paid to animate something like that isn't all that bad. What should he have done? "No microsoft, I hated windows 3.1, so I refuse to take your $10,000 to animate an ad for it. I'd rather starve and be unable to pay my mortgage." Anyone who works for someone else is a sellout in one form or another.
