I have personally found American blacks to be the most race conscious if not racist people in the world, not American whites. As a tourist in Washington, D.C. I ventured into black areas and was greeted with bad looks and disrespect. The girl at the McDonalds counter acted like she did not want to serve me. It was a shock as we had been raised to believe that the blacks were mistreated unfairly. I believe that they behave the same if not worse and enjoy a double standard.
