I agree with the comments about having a frame running up inside his trousers and his rear is resting on that. However it's done though, it's very ingenious marketing! Love it :-)

The man has lost both of his legs. The legs are actually a support system with a seat and back plate that he can rest against. Believe it or not, he is quite comfortable and makes a decent wage for his performance. Now you know.
