Green Man Festival - Winter North Atlantic graphic score

Ed Carter of Winter North Atlantic has worked with programmer and interaction designer Joey Scully to create a new site-specific composition tool for the Green Man Festival.

The application takes the surrounding geography as a 3D map, turning it into an interactive instrument where pitch is altered by the rise and fall of the Brecon hills. Other instruments were then layered onto the track, responding to the original melody created by the surrounding countryside.

The piece was first performed at Green Man Festival, Sunday 22 August 2010.
