Magnificent, thank you for posting this. This is certainly one of the most stirring scenes in opera.
And he's a magnificent baritone, but as others have pointed out, he might not be repugnant enough...

@zdenko1945 Very, very wrong point of view. Scarpia should not be ugly at all. He should be extremely handsome!! Despite his beauty, wealth and strong position in Rome, his despicable personality, his lack of heart and criminal mind are making Tosca hate him and finally kill him! That's why she is indeed a remarkable lady! If he is ugly she becomes an ordinary woman disliking him for his face not for his dark soul.
