  • 40-50 years at current consumption rates for oil? we have enough to meet energy for 5000 years? we'll find something better- the stone age didn't end with lack of stone.... the only problem with your arguments is they are insane. I'm sorry amigo- you can not have infinite exponential growth against a finite resource base. his arguments about ever increasing resource availability using technology is just stupid- his example of iron ore is again unbearably blind. this fellow is a fool.

  • @CandianBear He cited plenty of evidence you cited none. people can draw their own conclusions based on that.

  • just like stone age didn't come to an end becoz' of lack of stone..lol!...he is good....but i would like to say " the world wouldn't be looking for better sources of energy if it knew that oil 'would not' finish...so in a way its good(if not exactly true) that ppl are scared that oil would finish...its never bad to go green in general...if all the ppl think in his way ppl would stop worrying bout the environment and i think thats not good either..

  • I agree with some of your points but bjorn and i certainly worry about the environment and I think that if people gave more thought to these issues and the economics associated we could spend our money more wisely and do more good in the future without just running around like headless chooks trying to blindingly do good but just wasting money in the process.

  • are rushie neo cons something to do with rush limbaugh? sorry Im just trying to figure out what you are talking about and we have wondered about that for ages. If you could try to stick to one point as well I just dont understand the post and I dont know what you are trying to say.

  • the rushie neocons say they need another 50 billion more to win in iraq ... after borrowing more money than all previous administrations combined ... i tell you they are bankrupting the country to make sure that only the wealthy survive the coming thousands of years of higher and higher world temperatures ... i tell you .. when you need to stop the sun from getting hotter and hotter ... they will tell you that you are bankrupt because spent all your money in iraq

  • Agnes Bojaxhiu... I dont want a simple cut and paste of your view. Please comment on the video in a constructive way or your comments will be deleted because they are not relevent to what is being talked about here.

  • @rangerscoach Why are you such a big fan of this guy?

  • Second: "The stone age didnt end with a lack of stones".. its easy to compare stone to oil, but its an useless argument. Stone is not a source of energy, but oil is.. And the stone age is not called stone age because humankind used stones for energy.. its like comparing apples to flowers..

  • First of all: Lomborg arguments with shale oil. The problem with this kind of "oil" is, that its costing immense sums of energy to get the actual oil out of the shale. you have to put more energy into it to produce the amount of energy oil has, and its very dangerous for the environment. you need a lot of water, which is left dirty and poisonous for the nature at the end.

  • @rangerscoach - what type of evidence would you like? i know try this one on for size- search Albert Bartlett on youtube- 8 part video on exponential growth- you can not continue to consume things at an ever expanding RATE! wake up!! i mean it is childish and immature beyond words to say otherwise- are you claiming that we CAN continue forever to expand our demands on Nature??? Are you?

  • there is no debate. your "rational" contribution is just bias confirmation for those who refuse to educate themselves due to a blinding fear of change.go to school, learn how information in science is gathered and reviewed, and stop taking corporate shills as valid opinions.

  • Hey minilemur ... it's a great video isn't it? Every now and then I come back and watch it again because it's put so simply that a third grader could grasp it. It also enjoy the message - it's not the end of the world.
