The video and a majority of what we do has a great deal to do with our preconceptions about biology and love. For instance, a woman covered in blood and screaming could be giving birth, or being killed. Blood is just as natural a fluid a salt water (which it more or less is). It's we, humans, who often mistake natural processes for something dark or unpleasant. We as a band tend to exist in a world of shades of gray as opposed to black and white, good or evil, etc.

Honestly...it was supposed to have way more blood in it.
There was going to be a scene where a massive flood of it bursts out from under a door...

blood, evil, vampires, and satan are so trendy and corporate now that soon youll see Vampyreburgers™ at MacDonalds. And rich kids are 'buying" it as a commodity. It once had meaning. Now its just trendy for people with no real honesty. IF its on teevee-then its lost its meaning
