  • he's a terrible choice to moderate Meryl Streep! He can't keep up with her and he mispronounced Lughnasa!

  • @poirot89 If Meryl Streep were a British Subject, she would have been made a Dame Commander of the British Empire by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, a long time ago. To Hell with it all, she's Dame Meryl in my book.

  • @FifthContinentMusic It is possible for Her Majesty to confer an honourary Knightbood or Dame Commender on someone who is not a British Subject. In that respect, the person in question may not incorporate the title before their name. Former New York mayor Rudolph Guilliani [sic] and Steven Spielberg have been so honoured.

  • @0oJess i know right, her legs look so toned :D

  • may I just say, this host is terrible! he doesnt make it cohesive, but instead he makes the the conversation awkward!

But other than that WE LOVE YOU MERYL!!!

  • @FifthContinentMusic I believe everyone who subscribes to this wonderful channel agrees she's Dame Meryl.

  • Great interview, although the interviewer pretty much did everything wrong. Anyway, I wish Phyllida had been more involved in the questions, however, I didn't mind listening to Meryl at all. And I just couldn't take my eyes off her legs! Gorgeous and brilliant in every way!

  • We called Meryl sir obviously..

    Quite right :L

  • When Meryl Streep and Phyllida Lloyd come together, we all know, it's going to be great! God I can't wait to see it!

  • If I'm not mistaken, I believe this was taped at the New York Times incredible space in its still relatively new Manhattan HQ. SURELY they could have simply had a handful of staffers strategically placed throughout the audience...with cordless microphones for them to use when asking questions. Bush league. Again, a bit churlish of me. But such notable guests deserve a FAR more polished approach.

  • This is an astonishingly rich and dense conversation and I'm over the moon to have found it the day before I plan to see "The Iron Lady" when it opens here in Hollywood tomorrow. And with so much to be grateful for -- courtesy of both the actress and director -- it DOES seem a bit churlish to point out my GREAT discomfort and disappointment in the VERY poorly prepared moderator. I want to yank that iPad out of his hand because not one question gleaned from it has been of value. VERY amateurish.

  • Meryl Streep does not look 62. Shes a class act other actresses today should be more like her and have humility and get off their pedestals
