here is a little bit longer video of the printed beer cup and filling it with beer..
This version has some hardstyle for a change... there are actually two reasons for that:
- i like it to use it as testing material for my sound system here...
- if I had to descibe Orca in one word it would be "evolution".
We have developed three Orca DIY 3D printers in 2011, and all three models are very different
and are "evolutions" ;)
description from original video:
I was a little worried that the PLA would be still too hot if i would fill it with beer directly after print was done, but it turned out fine, the beer cooled the PLA quickly i think and it cooled me as well ;)
CHEERS!
Update: I just had another good idea for next video.. print same cup in ABS then fill with water, then let the water boil inside the ABS on the heated bed and then make some tea or instant coffee on the bed.. maybe if I find a few hours of freetime this weekend.. who knows ;)
ps. yes next time i will try to find an assistent with cleaner hands...
ps2: It was my neighbour "Jan-the-fulltime-alcoholic" who came up with this great idea for a video.. credits to Jan ;)
Like it, just need the firmware for my new 040 to start drinking myself :-)
