[HowTo] Setup an Animated Desktop(GUI) on Ubuntu Linux

Modified Version of A-Desk v.14.1 that includes more videos and an option to choose your favourite screensaver.

Use your favourite video or screensaver as your Desktop Background or select preloaded videos as your desktop background.

EXTRACT the compressed archive to your home folder

Install mplayer, zenity and xscreensaver first.

Check the below link for installing additional screensavers that you might need for this tutorial

@lincaorain you can look around for a fix which can set the transparency @ 90% giving u a chance of accessing the icons on the desktop.. Basically the video will be an overlay on the desktop hiding the icons beneath.. that's the only fix i know..
