Yeah I thought it was weird, too... when I went into my first upper-level course I was thinking that semester was gonna make me change my major... half way through I was like "whoa this stuff oddly makes sense to me!". But don't feel too down about not doing a physics/astronomy major... my other choice besides physics would've been art! I probably wouldn't be so tired all the time if I did do that! Plus, the practical application of physics often eludes me, my mind is just so much into theory

Of course, schoolwork < paid work ^^ YOu can make stupid comments for such a thing like schoolwork... I wont post anything stupid about school anymore feel free to post anything lol

So it's okay to make stupid comments about schoolwork but not paid work? I'm not sure I quite understand that logic, but okay. Remind me to never post things from classes.

I didnt know this is for work. You should have told me that before i make another stupid comment >.> so thats for your mom....is she reading those comments too? lol You might have to delete some ^^
Haha, I am completely dumbfounded by
"illuminate53110's" comments! Errr... meteorites... cool! I'm a physics major and haven't taken chemistry, so I was completely lost once you brought up the periodic table! (sorry math is all I know)

They dumbfound me too sometimes. You're a physics major but haven't taken any chemistry? Shame. It's a real help when you get to quantum, studying atomic structure and stuff.

Well, I have taken an "honors chemistry" in high school, didn't take the AP exam, tho. Like I said I do better at math (proof-based calc, vector calc, differential geometry). Theory is my interest, too. I'm just putting off chem as an easy course during my harder junior-level courses. So, haven't taken chem in college... had a friend who memorized everything in the periodic table tho...

You're so lucky that you actually like math. It sure would make my life easier if I could say the same. So many C's and D's have come from accursed math and physics-with-lots-of-math courses that last semester I finally decided to switch to an interdisciplinary studies major instead of physics and astronomy majors.

Yeah... I actually didn't do so well in lower-level physics courses. It wasn't until I got to these more "intense" courses did I start understanding everything. But, I understand not getting math right off the bat... as for me... I could not read a single book or an essay and understand it all for the life of me. I'm horrible at english, too!

Wow, that's really weird, about not doing well in lower-level physics but understanding everything in upper-level courses. I guess that would be because you actually like/understand that sort of math. I got A's and B's in the intro physics courses, and I was pretty good at math up until my junior year of high school... Oh, the good old days. I've generally been okay at English, though the freshman composition requirements were such a pain.
