  • I was first introduced to the MKC albums through the John Peel show (and more than 30 years on I finall heard the Psychotic Frogs via the magic of Spotify). Now that the John Peel collection is going to be placed online in a virtual studio, the youth of today can have their cultural needs met for the rest of their lives.

  • Max's Kansas City 1970's. 213 Park Avenue South between East 17 and 18th Streets. Just up from Union Square Park. How can anyone replicate the people who were there in the 1970's? Mickey Ruskin. The NY Dolls. The entire TriBeCa scene....Andy Warhol...the many contemporary NY artists...Just take an A, C or E train downtown from Midtown Manhattan! Thanks for this post. This world will NEVER be repeated. I heart NYC! Best wishes.

  • let's give the musician their recognition too: L-R Drums w/hands in the air: Jett ("Bingo" Harris) Weinstein, Bass: Greg van Cook, Vocals/writer/Attitude: Wayne/Jayne County, Guitar: Elliot Michaels. This was a great band and no video of them sadly..

  • At last! now Harry Toledo please!

    thanks!

  • Keep kickin' ass Wayne/Jayne.

  • Jayne is one hard rockin' transistor! --' Max's' a real chronicle of the scene--NYC mid 70's'.
