8 JUNE 2010: It was 5:45 in the afternoon and I found him standing right in front my door, holding a bouquet of red roses. We took a cab and he brought me to Singapore Botanic Gardens. Visiting that place for the first time made me feel so amazed and one with nature. Everything was so wonderful, peaceful, and spectacular. We walked around and felt deeply relaxed even more. We had our dinner at Halia restaurant for more than an hour. While waiting for the dessert to be served, the ceiling fans were suddenly turned off and the staff started singing a "happy birthday" song to me. I was indeed surprised -- and I could say it was a great dinner!

We took a walk around the garden again. On our way, we saw a waterfall and a dark cave just beside it. He asked me to check out inside and so we both got in. Then I saw a red rose, tied with a red ribbon, lying on the rock and a candle beside it. He took it and gave it to me. At first, I doubted if it was really meant for me. After being convinced, I felt very touched and I just could not help but to keep thanking him for such a wonderful act of sweetness. As we continued our walk, I kept telling him how happy I was for making my birthday really special.

We passed by some beautiful hanging vines and one thing I noticed that night was, though I was not paying too much attention to it, he sang the song "it feels like home to me" quite a few times. Not so far, I saw a gazebo and it was very bright. I wondered what was happening there (I actually thought it was a wake and got a bit scared to come closer). He asked me if I wanted to take a look at it. I was quite reluctant but was persuaded to come later on. Then I saw another rose on the signboard. He took it and he gave it to me. At that moment, I already felt nervous and I just couldn't explain my feeling. As we came closer to the gazebo, I could see some balloons on the floor so I got more excited to see it. Upon reaching, I just could not believe everything I saw right in front my eyes. The whole place was surrounded by candles...on the floor were all beautiful rose petals forming a heart shape...candles joined together forming "i love you"...and the third rose in the middle of the big heart. Then he picked up the rose, gave it to me...and the song "it feels like home to me" started playing. I was speechless and I just could not explain how overwhelmingly wonderful the feeling was. He told me to make a wish and I started crying...when I opened my eyes, I saw him, on bended knee, and he asked "Babe, are you ready to spend your lifetime with me?"

Of course, I said, YES!
