Almightyjass makes the comment that its not a very complex movie. That means that anyone of at least average intellect can grasp the themes and/or storyline. @iMakeThingsTV Maybe you should see the movie and then you'll understand. The aliens have superior weapons that we can't make work and of course we want to know about their technology (like space travel). Because the aliens' intelligence has been compromised due to their travels, they can't just easily explain things, like "we'll show you our weapons if you fix our ship so we can leave." Humans keep them trapped here because of that.

its like in this movie (i havent seen it yet but from what ive seen from trailers) the people in this movie (the characters) are so stupid like why would you want the aliens to stay? the aliens dont want to be there and same with most people yet they keep then there. Thats just the stupidest thing ive ever heard even in the trailer they say we mean you no harm we just want to go home. If i was in charge of that i would be like, Yeah sure take your ship and get the f*ck out of here, lol
