For more than five days, Aug.24-29, 2007 wildfires ravaged Greece's Southern region of Peloponnese and Central Evia. Athens was not left out. A small tribute to the 63 people and their Families, who lost their lives during these fires. No Political intensions are reflected in this video and they shouldn't.

  • Thank you for posting this video. We were there during this time to baptize our daughter. My husband is from Krestena and my family is from Sparti. My 100 years old grandfather lost, over 400 olive trees. Most Americans don't understand that Greeks do not carry insurance on homes and land. If it burns you are not handed a check to cover the loss. Also, if you have used your land as collateral to buy a house and then your trees burn you have no income. In the end you lose it all. Tragic
