I've seen the swapping trick before. He did the same thing during his tv show. He would be asking for directions when a long carboard sign would be carried past him and the person hes asking and he would swap himself with another person asking questions

notice when he says 500 pounds his arms stay close, while when he says 5000 pounds his arms are wide open (which is another way of reinforcing what he wants Dan to choose)

his 500 and 5000 trick is amazingly simple actually.
there is a not well known stage illusion were lots of money appears in a box so if they choose 500 he changes it to 5000 if he picks 5000 he doesnt.

the string test was to see who moves the ring more and he picks them because they listen to his words and there body moves it more so of course they will do the same with the table

actually it is what I think it is. Can I do what he does? No. Do think he's (at this point in my life) THE greatest entertainer (musicians, actors, radio included): quite possibly because his entertainment is so intellectual and clever. Did I try to do what he does? yes. Can I understand how he does some of his tricks? Definitely? Even in understanding it, is it still massively funny and clever and amusing? unquestionably, yes.
